📊 From The Reader Polls

We run polls to learn more about our readers’ opinions, preferences, concerns, etc.

Some are serious, and some are just for fun. But they often spark ideas for me as I curate content for the newsletter. Maybe one will spark an idea for your business or organization, too!

If you're reading on your phone, are you in Light or Dark Mode? (195 Votes)

  • 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 ☀️ Light Mode (115)

  • 🟨🟨🟨🟨⬜️⬜️ ⚫️ Dark Mode (80)

*Key takeaway: Earlier this year, we found 60%+ of subscribers read on their phones. If 41% of them use dark mode, logos with dark text lose visibility. That matters not just in our publication, but anywhere your brand shows up online in a mobile-first world.

One way to dark mode proof your logo is to add a white outline around the dark text before exporting as a transparent PNG. It stays invisible in light mode but creates needed contrast in dark mode.

Here’s an example:

What’s your interest level in more school (college, trade, or certs)? (76 Votes)

  • 🟨🟨🟨🟨⬜️⬜️ 🎓 Very interested (16)

  • 🟨🟨🟨🟨⬜️⬜️ 📘 Somewhat interested (18)

  • 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 🤔 Not that interested (22)

  • 🟨🟨🟨🟨🟨⬜️ 🚫 School's out for summer, school's out forEVER (20)

Only 7 partnerships are available at this level. Reply to this email, and we can schedule a meeting.

That’s a wrap! I hope you enjoy your weekend. If you missed it, here’s a link to the Weekend Roundup to help you plan.

How can I help you?

  • I’ll run a free audit on your organization’s newsletter to point out ways to improve growth, engagement, and content strategy. Reply if interested.

  • I can get you 20% off beehiiv, my favorite place to send newsletters (if you’re still using Mailchimp, I promise this is soooo much better).

P.S. I send this email monthly to past, current, and interested sponsors of NWA Daily and anyone who wants to keep up with our growth, insights, and sponsorship opportunities. If you’re not into that, you can unsubscribe below, and it won’t hurt my feelings… too bad.

Or if you’re not sure how you ended up on this list and were looking for the usual NWA Daily email, you can sign up for that HERE.
